Favorite Bible Verse: Nahum 1:7 The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him.

What I enjoy most: I am passionate about building relationships. Understanding that our relationships with each other are merely shadows of our relationship with God is a necessary part of understanding how to truly relate to one another. This is foundation to real education. My desire is to create more opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and families to build healthy relationships with each other, and the world around them.

What I enjoy most: Whether through a conversation over coffee, sports, the arts, in the classroom or on a hiking trail in the Cohutta Wilderness; being a part of young people growing in their passion to follow Jesus Christ in every aspect of their lives.

Favorite Bible Verse: For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

What do you enjoy most about working in Education?

The most rewarding part of education to me is watching students get excited about learning and seeing Gods fingerprint on their lives. My desire is that students would know without a doubt that He exists and He uses knowledge as a testimony of His glory. Second, I believe that education is the vehicle that equips students with the knowledge and discipline they need to fulfill their own calling and purpose for which God planned in advance. Middle school is about students taking ownership of their learning so that they can be ready for that calling.

Favorite Bible Verse: And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

What I enjoy most: As a teacher of young children, what I enjoy most about teaching is watching them make connections for the first time. Watching the lights come on. I have never had the experience of carrying a football into the end zone while the crowd is cheering wildly, but I can't imagine that it feels more wonderful than watching a child learn to read!
